COMPLETE THE SYSTEM

Build protection in the correct sequence.

Preparation, primer, finish and compatible care work together to control appearance and performance.

  2. 02

    Calculate the system

Confirm coverage, number of coats, hardener ratio, tools, and site conditions before ordering.

  3. 03

    Follow technical data

Product application guide

Product field guide

Open each relevant step for product-specific preparation, application, finishing and long-term care. Only applicable stages are shown.

Preparation

Make sure that all old finish coats are completely removed and that the wood is free from dust and other dirt. Can be used on sanded, planed, and brushed wood. For a lighter and more natural finish, ECOFIX WOODLOOK can be used as a primer first. For floor heating, exotic wood types and cork, the FORTICO sealer is recommended as a primer.

Application

FORTICO 2C can be used as primer and finishing coat. Mix the waterborne finish with the hardener at 10 to 1 (10%). Let the product settle for 15 minutes. Apply the product in 3 layers with a brush or roller. First layer: apply ca. 7.50 - 9.50 g/sq.ft and let dry for +/- 4 hours. Second layer: apply ca. 7.50 - 9.50 g/sq.ft in the same manner as the first layer and let dry for +/- 6 hours. Afterwards intermediate sanding with grain 180-220, make it dust-free and apply the third layer at ca. 7.50 - 9.50 g/sq.ft.

FORTICO can be used as a primer and finishing coat.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance with Ciranova® Hard Floor Fresh. Use UNICARE X-MATT or Hard Floor Polish for periodic maintenance. Ciranova®Hard Floor Cleaner is used for cleaning highly soiled floors and to remove old layers of polish.
