Ciranova Reactive STAIN
APPLICATION VIDEO DEMO
Ciranova WORKTOP OIL is the perfect finish for wooden worktops, cutting boards, furniture, and tables on which food is prepared. The WORKTOP OIL provides natural, water-repellent protection.
Ciranova WORKTOP OIL has been tested in line with the 1935/2004 standard and, after drying, meets the requirements to be used on wood that comes into contact with food. Ciranova WORKTOP OIL is made from natural waxes, modified oils, and vegetable and renewable fatty acids.
» Very suitable for wooden worktops, cutting boards, and tables
» Provides a water and stain-resistant finish
» Tested according to the NO 1935/2004 article 3C standard
» Easy to apply
Ensure that all old finishing layers have been completely removed and that the surface is free of dust and other contaminants.
Shake the WORKTOP OIL well before use. You can easily apply the Ciranova WORKTOP OIL with a lint-free cloth in the direction of the wood grain. For larger surfaces, you can use a brush.
Apply a thin layer and let the oil soak into the wood for 15 minutes, then wipe the surface dry with a lint-free cloth. For hard woods such as oak, at least 2 coats are required. Multiple coats can be used for soft woods.
DRYING TIMES: Can be painted over after +/- 6 hours. Drying times depend on the amount applied, ambient temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
Use Ciranova WORKTOP OIL as both a base and final coat.
Apply a new coat of WORKTOP OIL Ciranova regularly to ensure permanent water-repellent protection. In the event of heavy soiling, use the Ciranova intensive cleaner to clean the wood first. WORKTOP OIL is only fully cured after +/- 7 days. Do not treat with water or maintenance products.
Reactive stain only produces the color; afterward, it has to be protected with a finishing product. For the on-site finishing, we recommend our Hardwaxoil Magic. By combining a reactive stain with a colored oil one can obtain many different finishes.
One cannot roll or brush waterborne finishings such as a varnish over the reactive stain, because this could partly dissolve the color. However, one can spray a waterborne finish on the reactive stain, which offers many possibilities for industrial finishers.
Be sure to let us know if you would like more information about our reactive stains for professional or industrial use.
